George W. Bush won re-election -- largely by convincing large numbers of swing voters that John Kerry had no core values, that he was a flip flopper. They succeeded even though Kerry was a war hero and had a strong record of standing up for what he believed. How much easier will it be to convince everyday Americans that Romney has no core values - since he doesn't

"Do-Nothing Republican Congress" Could Sink GOP In 2012

Some excerpts

Romney is the poster boy for the 1%. He feels like the guy who fired your brother-in-law. He is in fact the guy who, some time back, gathered his crowd of young Wall Street hot shots around him after he completed a big deal at Bain Capital and posed for a picture with money dripping from their mouths and pockets and ears. He's a guy who made his fortune dismantling companies and firing workers.

Of course, none of these facts are intended to make Progressives complacent -- far from it. None of them guarantees we will win in 2012 -- only that we can.

For the first two years of the Obama Administration, Progressives took a lot of ground. There was:

Health Care for All Americans
Wall Street Reform
Avoiding another Great Depression
Saving a million jobs in the American auto industry
Expanding Medicaid
Eliminating Don't Ask Don't Tell
Expanding Children's Health
Environmental Reform
Expanding Labor Rights
Expanding Civil Liberties
Equal Pay for Equal Work

Now Obama is ending the War in Iraq.

But last fall the Empire struck back. All of the corporate, special interest money fought back with a vengeance. It fought back because that's the nature of change. The forces of the status quo don't just roll over and play dead. They do everything they can to hang onto their money and power and privilege.

Now we have to hold our ground and prepare a winning counter offensive -- and it won't be easy, especially in light of the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision that magnifies the power of corporate cash.

But if they win -- if America has President Romney or Perry or Cain, Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Speaker Boehner -- they have made it crystal clear what they will do. They will return America to the Gilded Age. They will roll back the twentieth century -- they will rip apart the entire social contract.

They will privatize Social Security, destroy Medicare, emasculate the labor movement, cut taxes further for corporations and the wealthy. They will create new radical conservative facts on the ground that they hope will entrench conservative power for generations.

But they believe their real key to victory is lack of enthusiasm among Progressives. They believe that Progressives -- and many in the Democratic base -- will stay home next November.

They will be wrong.
.......

The progressive forces in America will rise to the battle because they realize that the 2012 election is not just about two people running for President. It is about a moral question. It's about two competing sets of values. It's all about how we see ourselves as a nation -- as a society. It's about whether we will be a society based on the precepts of radical conservative social Darwinism, or a society rooted in the progressive values that have always defined the promise of America.

VIDEO, Details of military operation that killed FARC leader Alfonso Cano in Colombia - Comments in YouTube.com are very harsh - Think Tanks in the USA recommend the same strategy in Afghanistan - Is this realistic ??

.

The Colombian Government has been very successful killing the Top Terrorists in Colombia, FARC has been supported by Hugo Chavez during many years. There has been a successful combination of American Airplane and Communications Technology and the bravery and valor of Colombian Soldiers, three of them died of extreme cold during the persecution ( under freezing temperatures of 20 degrees fahrenheit, which is -7 in the Celsius Scale ). Two others fell off a cliff.

The idea of using the same Ideas in Afghanistan may be invalid. Because 90% plus of Colombians strongly hate the FARC, and 99% believe that FARC will never reach power or get a good settlement in this conflict. This according to serious polls, like Gallup Polls and others.

I believe that Afghans are very brave and intelligent. But Colombians are more amenable to the Americans Soldiers, Officers and Strategists, this is they are more accustomed and Responsive to American advice, they are more willing to accept American Suggestions and they have lines of authority very disciplined and serious that are similar to those of Americans.

Some military operations of the Colombian Army are an example for the rest of the World to study and probably follow.

You can not think that Colombia is Afghanistan, respecting the excellent things of both countries. Don't mix apples and oranges, even if both taste good.

Obama pulling out all U.S. troops from Iraq in December with Republican Cover. The cuts in the Defense budget will come because Republicans in Congress demanded this budget compromise. Obama's beautiful opportunity. Fulfilling his campaign promise to pull the troops out of Iraq

.
Obama is a Shrewd Fox dancing Tango with the Republicans :

Obama can say that these reductions ( Troops in Iraq and others ) are part of his good-faith attempt to conform to the budget compromise made in August 2011.

No one takes the super committee seriously in Washington. The deadlock in the super committee transfers to the President the right to pick and choose the cuts he will make. Constitutionally speaking, the House must introduce all spending bills. In fact, the President has possessed this power for two generations. Obama has been granted a license to cut as he sees fit. It is clear that his first cut is the cost of keeping troops in Iraq.

These cuts are symbolic. But symbols are important in life. They are important in politics. Someone has to propose cuts, and some special-interest groups must suffer cuts. Special-interest groups resist all cuts.

Republicans believe that they can take all the "Entitlements" from the poorest Americans, and that Taxes should be paid mainly by the Poor and Minorities. If Mitt Romney becomes president of the USA he will conform to the harsh reality that this feat is impossible.

Fortunately Mitt Romney is a Chameleon that changes colors with great ease and speed. He will be more liberal than what all Republican voters expect. He has to.

POLITICO.COM : Constitutional Law Professor : Why the Republican Party is at war against Early Voting and Voting on Sundays - Minorities and the Poor need to vote early or on Sundays because of their jobs, few of them are given time off to vote

.
The GOP may be able to prevent many millions of Americans, largely Democrats, from voting — potentially affecting 171 electoral votes. Right wing efforts to suppress low-income and minority voting, because they support the Democrats.

It is the most Retrograde and Mentally Backward Racist States, dominated by Republican Legislatures that use State Laws to suppress voters and hinder Minorities from voting.

Opinion: GOP's voter suppression

Some excerpts :

Early voting: U.S. elections are traditionally held on Tuesdays — an obstacle for many low-income working people, few of whom are given time off to vote. So 33 states and the District of Columbia now allow early voting — including on Saturday and Sunday. Many Americans, particularly minorities, have taken advantage of this.

In 2008, for example, black voters accounted for 13 percent of the total turnout but for 22 percent of the early votes and 31 percent of Sunday voters. Latinos were 7.4 percent overall — but 22 percent of the final-Sunday voters.

In North Carolina, which Obama won narrowly in 2008, more than half of the African-American vote was cast early, compared with 40 percent of the white vote. This pattern was repeated in 2010.

But it won’t be in 2012. GOP state legislatures in Florida, Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio and West Virginia have cut the number of early voting days. Florida, under Gov. Rick Scott, who has been a leader in the voter-suppression effort, reduced early voting from 14 days to eight. In Ohio, it went from 35 days to 16.

Florida and other states have also eliminated voting on the Sunday before election — when so much minority voting takes place. Ohio ended all Sunday voting.

VIDEO, "Drunk" Rick Perry - Believe me, I know a lot about drunkards, drug addicts, and Rick is no more drunk than Mitt Romney, Michelle Bachman, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum. All of them are drunk with Power, Money, Hypocrisy, Lies, Deception, etc

.
I absolve and acquit Rick Perry from the charge of Drunkness, Alcoholism and Inebration - This guy may be under heavy stress and needs to relax with friends doing clownish things - He is a fool, but not so great a fool like Mitt Romney, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, etc ...

Everybody knows that Rick Perry is clownish, buffon and jester, a glad, joyful, joyous and happy guy, that loves jokes, jests and pranks.

Let's forgive Rick Perry for this innocent circus, there is no proof of drunkness or being high on drugs. I know a lot about drunkards and drug addicts. I know a lot about the gutter and debased madmen thanks to dangerous substances.

I abhor alcoholics and drugos, because I have known them too well.

Rick Perry is perfectly innocent for me. Just a stressed man that feels at ease with friends. He is in an adventure.

Finally, I am opposed to Republicans and all their ideas. I admire, love and respect President Obama.

The Tea Party members are the New Jacobins, too perfect and showing an exaggerated Righteousness (also called rectitude), they are super fanatics like the famous Jacobins of the French Revolution ( an example : Robespierre )

.
The Tea Party doesn't have a GUILLOTINE but it is chopping off the heads of prominent and respected "Old" Republicans :

The Tea Party has a Big desire and intent to purge the Republican Party of those that are moderate and less dogmatic and doctrinaire. They are seeking to impose a simplistic doctrine in all circumstances without regard to practical considerations. They live inflexibly attached to a theory without regard to its practicality, stubbornly holding on to these obsessive ideas without concern for practicalities or realities. And this Tea Party can do Great Harm to the Republican Party and to the nation if they ever reach power.

I wrote the above note after reading the British Magazine "The Economist" that has this phrase : "Republican candidates have been falling over themselves to invent tax proposals that look bound to squeeze the poor and reward the rich even more". The magazine tells us about the "Hostile takeover" of the Republican Party by Tea Party and about their regressive and absurd tax policy proposals.

I loved this article in "The Economist" because it sounds like writing History :

The Economist
Republicans may be in for a shock :
Despite becoming more extremist and obstructionist, the Republicans triumphed in the mid-term elections. Next time round, they may be in for a shock
Nov 5th 2011 | WASHINGTON, DC

The Republicans in a dangerous game

Some excerpts :

And yet its very radicalism may become the party’s Achilles heel. It could enable Mr Obama to win a second term by proclaiming that to vote Republican in 2012 is to opt for a reckless experiment that will tear down all the social protections Americans have come to take for granted.

Mr Obama is already pushing this line. One of his chief exhibits is the Republicans’ comportment during the past year of divided government.
............

They are now woven tightly into the Republican grassroots, co-ordinated nationally and plugged into a variety of deep-pocketed small-government outfits, such as the Club for Growth, FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity, which feed them with policy ideas and help them organise.

In a forthcoming book (“The Tea Party and the Remaking of Republican Conservatism”), two Harvard University academics, Theda Skocpol and Vanessa Williamson, say that the emergence of the tea-partiers was “just what the doctor ordered” for a group of billionaire ideologues, such as brothers Charles and David Koch of Koch Industries, who lost no time exploiting the movement’s anger and energy. Dick Armey, the founder of FreedomWorks, and Matt Kibbe, its president, have been candid about their efforts to turn the tea-party movement into “a permanent grassroots army” and mount a “hostile takeover” of the Republican Party.

The new Jacobins

This is code for a merciless purge. Seniority in the party and length of service in Congress are no protection. In the primaries before last year’s mid-terms, tea-partiers helped to scalp long-serving Republicans, such as Senator Bob Bennett of Utah, who used to be considered solid conservatives. Now the Jacobins are on the warpath again. FreedomWorks is hoping to unseat Senator Richard Lugar, who has represented Indiana admirably for six terms, by throwing its weight behind Richard Mourdock, “a reliable, consistent supporter of limited government”. Mr Lugar stands accused of spending his 34 years in Congress “voting to spend too much and to expand the federal government too far beyond its constitutional limits.”

Campaigns such as these push the party in Congress to the right. They have also coloured the search for a presidential nominee.
..........

Above all, the whole Republican field has embraced the mantra of small government. To judge by their promises, a Republican victory in 2012 would see a night of long knives in Washington, DC. On his very first day Mr Gingrich would abolish 39 White House “tsars”. In his first year Mr Paul would lop away $1 trillion in federal spending and abolish the departments of energy, commerce, interior, education, and housing and urban development. Mrs Bachmann would do away with the department of education and have the “doors locked and lights turned off” at the Environmental Protection Agency. Whoever wins, Obamacare—and who knows what else?—will be on their way to the chopping-block. Mr Perry has called Social Security, the pension system on which millions of Americans depend, not only unconstitutional but a Ponzi scheme.

..........

But the party is also seen as the party of the rich. In a recent New York Times/CBS News poll, 69% of respondents said that Republican policies favoured the wealthy, while only 28% said that of Mr Obama’s policies. This is not a plus at a time of stark and rising inequality.

Rich v poor

The Congressional Budget Office reported last week that the top 1% of earners had more than doubled their share of national wealth over the past three decades.
...................

Maybe not. Larry Bartels, a political scientist at Vanderbilt University who has studied election results since the recent great recession, concludes that they are seldom decided by ideology. “In periods of economic crisis, as in more normal times, voters have a strong tendency to support any policies that seem to work, and to punish leaders regardless of their ideology when economic growth is slow,” he says. That is bad news for Mr Obama. But the Republicans still need to unite around a plausible candidate—and a programme that is not so scary that voters will decide to stick with the president they know.

Obama, the Legend : Obama Great Skillful Political Attacker : Secret Mission : to tear down Romney without getting a single smudge of dirt on his own shirtfront — a trick he has performed deftly in previous races. Nobody is more experienced than Obama for Political Attack

.
From POLITICO.COM :

Obama has a Chicago Past of being skillful and adroit in Political Attacks. The President attacks in a dexterious manner. The former Illinois senator’s career is littered with the husks of fallen candidates

"Few have managed to attack with the stealth Obama has displayed, leaving in his wake bitter rivals who felt their complaints of foul play were falling on deaf ears as Obama moved forward not just as victor, but as avatar of a new politics of hope."

“It’s a lot like his foreign policy — leading from behind but with a high body count,” said a top Republican. “Rarely is Obama himself the tip of the spear in an attack. He’s much more likely to let liberal allies and the media initiate the attack and keep it alive.”

"David Axelrod has always been skillful at creeping into your room in the middle of the night and slicing out your heart, somehow without leaving behind a single fingerprint or drop of blood that ties him or his candidate to the crime," said Obama biographer David Mendell of Obama’s top political aide."

Barack Obama’s campaign style: Go negative, stay clean

Some excerpts :

The early salvos are also familiar moves in a strategy that has worked in each of the four federal campaigns Obama has run: disqualifying character attacks from aides or outsiders, executed brutally as Obama himself floats above the fray.
...........

One 2004 a challenger against Obama imploded when unsealed filings revealed abuse allegations and another met his political doom when similar records revealed seedy sexual claims.

..........

"“Obama in 2008 achieved the rare distinction of running a negative campaign without being called to account for it,” said a former top Clinton aide. “Will they be able to pull that off again? A lot less likely.”"

VIDEO, Super Bastardy ( Bastards ) and Pain of Mormon Polygamy. Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints ( FLDS ) - Don't tell me that this has nothing to do with Glenn Beck, Mitt Romney and Russell Pearce - Same Ideas of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young

.
A Video of Horror about the Pain and Abuse of Women in some areas of Mormonism. - This closely resembles the initial and historic Abuse and Enslavement of Women by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, founders of Mormonism.

Don't tell me that Glenn Beck and Mitt Romney have a Beautiful Religion founded by very kind, noble and wise men. Mormonism stinks. Mormonism was Founded by a Con Man, Thief, Liar and Bastard : Joseph Smith.

Murder and Castration are not strange to the Historic Mormon Religion.

Can a representative of this CRAZY Religion be elected as President of the United States ??.

BANKING ON HEAVEN is an unflinching look at a cult of Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (FLDS). The polygamist communities of Colorado City, Arizona and Hildale, Utah are home to a culture that routinely practices child rape, welfare fraud and systematic mind-control. This is the cult ruled over by the recently-convicted monster, Warren Jeffs. An unholy trinity of sex, power and wealth are at the dark heart of this deeply troubling story.

Ex-polygamist-turned-filmmaker Laurie Allen and director Dot Reidelbach used hidden cameras to capture the real FLDS story. Excerpts from BANKING ON HEAVEN and interviews with film participants have been featured on Larry King Live, Court TV, America's Most Wanted, Anderson Cooper 360, Dr. Phil, Good Morning America, and many more media outlets.

BANKING ON HEAVEN features exclusive and explosive interviews with Elaine Jeffs (Warren Jeff' sister), Carolyn Jessop (author of "Escape"). Jon Krakauer, Ed Smart, attorney generals of AZ & UT, and many other insiders. Their hair-raising testimonies are the equivalent of dropping a match into gasoline.

President Obama pushes infrastructure repair, blasts Congress

Some excerpts :

President Barack Obama traveled two miles west of the White House Wednesday to blast congressional Republicans who have obstructed the American Jobs Act since he introduced it nearly two months ago.

Quoting top congressional Republicans and former President Ronald Reagan, the president stressed that infrastructure repair and construction is a national prerogative, one that should have bipartisan support when a piece of his jobs bill comes up for a Senate vote later in the week.

“If the Speaker of the House, the Republican leader in the Senate, all the Democrats, all say that this is important to do, why aren’t we doing it? What’s holding us back? Let’s get moving and put America back to work,” Obama said in a morning speech on the banks of the Potomac River, the Key Bridge behind him crossing from the District of Columbia to Virginia.

Obama also attacked Congress, which he has in other settings derided as “do-nothing,” for spending time voting for commemorative baseball coins and to reaffirm the “In God we trust” motto while more pressing economic issues weigh on the country. “That’s not putting people back to work,” he said. “I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work.”

Burst Out Laughing : Glenn Beck deceived very honest and decent Christians that went with him to Israel ( led by Glenn ) into a Scheme to make the Mormons Richer. A Mormon religious tour carefully disguised as a "Christian" tour

.
Glenn, Con Man and Swindler :

Learn a lot about the dubious "Christian" Theology of Glenn Beck and Mitt Romney :

Glenn Beck choked up with tears when he said accusingly, "it was only the Christians that questioned my salvation" - Jack Kinsella was in the Tour and accuses Mormon Theology of being very crazy to say the least.

Going with Glenn Beck in a tour to Israel and listening to him every day, some Good Christians discovered the Deceit and Craziness of Glenn.

If you are Christian you will be horrified by this story. If you are an Atheist you will burst out laughing at the Deceit, Chicanery and Trickery of Glenn Beck.
