VIDEO, Mitt Romney spoke at the NAACP's annual convention - He does not understand Black Culture, Black Worthiness and Dignity, Black Suffering, Black Needs, Potentialities and Aspirations - He seems like thinking only of a White Base

.

Can a White Racist make a good, beautiful, artistic, esthetic speech to a Black Audience ??

Romney at a NAACP is a great Psychological experiment that reveals a lot about the Prejudices, Pshychological Complexes, Education ( or lack of education ) and Hatred of Romney. His instincts of Narcissism and Superiority ( revealed very clearly and beautifully in the "Brutal Barber Bully" and "Fake Cop" adventures of his life at age 18 years ).

Romney has a total lack of understanding of Minorities ( not only Blacks ).... A total lack of understanding of his "Inferiors" and the "Inferior Races" ....

This speech will be considered very bold, brave, courageous, etc ... by the White Supremacists that are in his bed : Kris Kobach, Pete Wilson, Russell Pearce, Jan Brewer and many White Supremacist Congressmen that seem like actors of a Ku Klux Klan movie before desegregation.

Remember that there are senators like Rand Paul that want to abolish Civil Rights and are in favor of giving freedom to a hotel or restaurant to reject people on the basis of color. ( Watch the interview of this guy with Rachel Maddow ! )

In the movie "Deacons for Defense and Justice", the chief dragon of the Ku Klux Klan begins to understand that racial violence is bad for his great fortune of factories and properties, but the poorest klansmen do not understand the economic importance of Blacks.

Mitt does not understand the importance ( Cultural, Economic, Human, Moral ) of Blacks and other Minorities.

Mitt does not even understand the importance of 98% of White Americans.

Lyndon B. Johnson, vicepresident, was ignored and humiliated by the Kennedys, convinced that his political life—that is, his whole life—was over, Johnson only showed signs of his old vitality when it came to civil rights

LBJ : The greatest civil-rights President in the twentieth century, and his biographer Robet Caro :

L.B.J.’s Biden Moment

Some excerpts :

History remembers that much, even if most Americans forget. But what the great Robert Caro has revealed is the role L.B.J. played in civil rights during the Kennedy years. Ignored and humiliated by both brothers, convinced that his political life—that is, his whole life—was over, Johnson only showed signs of his old vitality when it came to civil rights. Kennedy hardly bothered to ask for the advice of the one American politician who had managed to get a civil-rights bill passed in the twentieth century (as Senate majority leader, in 1957, the climax of Caro’s previous book, “Master of the Senate”). But given the chance, on June 3, 1963, Johnson weighed in with the full passion and shrewdness of which he was capable.

First, tactically, he urged Kennedy to wait on a civil-rights bill, since the Southerners who controlled the key Senate committees would block every other Kennedy bill in order to defeat it. He explained how Kennedy could hold up other bills that every senator wanted—appropriations bills for dams and other public works—as he slowly built enough support for civil rights to defeat a filibuster. Johnson had to give Kennedy’s alter-ego, Ted Sorensen, a primer in the workings of the Senate, one that the Kennedy White House appeared to need badly. And in terms of the principle of civil rights, Johnson was clear. “I think that I know one thing,” he told Sorensen, according to Caro, “that the Negroes are tired of this patient stuff and tired of this piecemeal stuff and what they want more than anything else is not an executive order or legislation, they want a moral commitment that he’s behind them.”

Sorensen assured the Vice-President that he would pass on his suggestions. A week later, Kennedy gave his civil-rights speech and used the same word that Johnson had used—“moral.” How much direct influence Johnson might have had on the speech isn’t clear, since, having allowed the Vice-President literally fifteen minutes of advice, Kennedy and his brother quickly returned to shutting out and undermining Johnson, and L.B.J. fell back into a deep depression. But one thing is clear: Johnson got there ahead of Kennedy. And he already had a strategy for how to get a bill through a seemingly intractable Congress—a strategy that Kennedy would ignore, leaving it to Johnson to follow his own advice in 1964.

*************

But it was Johnson who pushed hard on civil rights where Kennedy, assuming he’d get to it after his reelection, hesitated. And it was Biden who, inadvertently, forced Obama to stop evolving and declare himself on an issue that the President clearly hoped would leave him alone until after November. Though same-sex marriage isn’t a cause on the same scale of historic injustice as the color line in America, it is the issue that forces today’s politicians to take a clear and politically difficult moral stand. It’s an issue for politicians whose egos are not under tight rational control—who are, come heaven or hell, passionate.

Obamacare will increase economic activity. The newly insured individuals will demand more medical care than when they were uninsured. More Jobs for assistants and technicians who can fill much of this need. Increase in consumer spending

Will the Affordable Care Act Kill Jobs?

Will the Affordable Care Act Kill Jobs?

Some excerpts :

By now, most people who follow politics know that the law will result in more than 30 million additional Americans getting health insurance. But what few realize is that, by expanding insurance coverage, the law will also increase economic activity. These newly insured individuals will demand more medical care than when they were uninsured. And while it takes many years to train a family physician or nurse practitioner, it doesn’t take much time to train the assistants and technicians (and related support staff) who can fill much of this need. In many cases, these are precisely the sort of medium-skill jobs that our economy desperately needs—and that the health care sector has already been providing, even during the recession.

More immediately, the increase in economic security for American families will also mean an increase in consumer spending. Many uninsured consumers are forced to set aside money in low interest liquid accounts to make sure they have enough to cover unexpected medical costs. With the security provided by health insurance, they can free that money up for consumption that is much more valuable to them. When the federal government expanded Medicaid in the 1990s, my own research has shown, the newly insured significantly increased their spending on consumer goods. More purchases of consumer goods will provide short-run stimulation to the economy and more hiring.

*****************

In sum, we know that the ACA will increase jobs in the medical sector in the short run, above and beyond any partial offsets from new excise taxes on that sector. We know that the ACA will improve the functioning of our labor market in the medium run, by allowing workers to move to the positions in which they are most productive and satisfied. We know that there will be little economic drag from taxes on the wealthy or the small equity payments imposed on employers. And there is a good chance that the ACA will greatly improve the economy in the long run by controlling the rate of health care cost increase. The choice between protecting our most vulnerable citizens and improving our economy is a false one—fully implementing the ACA will make both our citizens and our economy more secure.

.

Excerpts :

"Not only are whites declining as a share of the population, they are declining in real terms. Between 2010 and 2011, the number of births to white women fell 10 percent. The median age of white Americans, now 43 and rising, means that half of all white women have moved past the age that they are ever likely to bear more children."

"Already, California, Illinois and New York are lost. The GOP has not carried any of the three in five presidential elections."

"Western states like Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona, which Republican nominees like Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan swept almost every time they ran, are becoming problematic for the party."

SB 1070 Fuels a Movement of New Voters
By Monica Alonzo

SB 1070 Fuels a Movement of New Voters

Some excerpts of a very long article ( several pages )  :

On a hot evening in June, a petite young woman with long, black hair briskly walks a decade-old Avondale neighborhood lined with stucco homes, cradling a clipboard.

It's after dinnertime, but a stubborn summer sun stretches out the day, providing plenty of light as she approaches the doors. Some families are settling in for the night; the faint sounds of televisions emit from living rooms. Others are washing cars or doing yard work.

Adriana consults a map that pinpoints homes of targeted registered voters, then rings bell after bell, explaining she is a student volunteer sharing information about Democratic candidates running for election — Richard Carmona, who wants a seat in the U.S. Senate; Congressman Raul Grijalva, who is up for re-election; and Paul Penzone, who hopes to unseat Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Most people are receptive to the Latina, who can deliver her message in fluent Spanish or English. One man asks how he can volunteer. One woman says she's busy but asks for Adriana's phone number so she can get more information the next day.

Others grumble disinterestedly and quickly shut their doors.

Adriana walks on through the streets of this working-class neighborhood, where political and racial demographics cross both party and color lines.

She is not alone. Adriana is a member of Team Awesome, a group with dozens of community organizers. She and other students, campaign volunteers, and political organizers working Arizona — street by street and door by door — have a goal beyond educating would-be voters about candidates. Or getting people to register to vote.

They desperately want to change Arizona's anti-Latino landscape — one radical politician at a time.

And they're doing it. Last year, they made history by bumping voter turnout nearly 400 percent in West and Central Phoenix and being part of the team that forced out Russell Pearce, the state Senate president behind Arizona's anti-immigrant laws.

Engaged Latinos are taking the movement state- and nationwide. Their numbers are growing, but it won't be easy.

"Immigration can get sticky," Adriana says, peering down the street for the next house number. "And it's such a complicated issue, you can't talk about it for just a couple minutes at the door. But everyone cares about their tax money."

She focuses on a candidate's leadership qualities, fiscal policies, and accountability. She plans to spend many hours in the summer heat and on the phone cultivating support for Carmona, Penzone, and Grijalva. The Obama campaign is capitalizing on the political energy among Latinos, and hoping to make typically Republican-leaning Arizona more competitive come November.

But on Election Day, Adriana will not be casting a vote for any of these candidates, Obama included. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Adriana, 20, is an undocumented immigrant. She isn't eligible to vote.

Morgan Housel ( The Motley Fool ) : America has one of the least efficient health-care systems in the world. - Great Chaos and Anarchy and Big Costs compared to other developed nations - Excellent Article

.

The U.S. government spends more on health care than most European governments. This article is extremely intelligent, statistical, mathematical, well informed and out of politics and partisanship. ...

I have been a fan of Morgan Housel for a good time. Because this man is a Great Teacher and clarifies what is obscure and muddy.

Two excerpts from Morgan Housel's article :

"The uninsured in America face a 40% higher mortality rate than those with health insurance, even after adjusting for income, health status, body mass index, smoking, and alcohol use."

"All of these issues are complicated and can't be given enough attention in one article. But we know the system is broken. We also know, for the most part, what works and what doesn't. Many aren't in favor of current reforms, but no one should be in favor of the status quo."
