VIDEO : Ed Schultz : John Kasich, the fiercely conservative governor of Ohio, announced that he’s going to expand Medicaid dramatically using federal money ( ObamaCare ) - Kasich has a Big History of controlling budgets and expenses in Congress - He gives budget reasons !

He joins ranks in supporting Medicaid Expansion ( part of ObamaCare ) and receiving Federal Money with these four other Republican Governors : Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple.

John Kasich ( born 1952 ) was in the U.S. House of Representatives (1983-2001) - In 1995 Kasich was selected to become Chairman of the House Budget Committee. As Chairman, Kasich worked towards balancing the Federal Budget, and was the chief architect of the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. As Chairman of the Budget Committee, Kasich claimed credit for the only U.S. Budget Surplus since 1969.

During his Congressional career, Kasich was considered a fiscal conservative, taking aim at programs supported by Republicans and Democrats. Kasich worked with Rep. Ron Dellums to cut spending on the B-2 Bomber, and with Ralph Nader in seeking to reduce corporate tax loopholes.
