New Jobs not available - Why ??? --- Consider structural bottleneck to create new jobs. For example great advances in cell phones, blackberries of all types, computers, slates, i-pads, mp4, YouTubes, wireless internet and other things

 . 

With all those new gadgets employees can have better communication and not so many workers are needed. Many people may work at home and Corporations need less office space, less janitors, less cleaning women, less plumbers, carpenters, less decorators.

And Outsourcing and Offshoring to China, Mexico and other countries can lower the need to hire people inside the United States. For example "call centers", telemarketing from India, computer programming in China, India or Pakistan.

Automation, Robots, E-mail spam marketing, robocalls, etc ....

Many people are not going to theaters to the movies, others do not visit restaurants but become great cooks at home. The Baby Boomers are becoming older and stay more time at home.

Other people spend a lot of time at home caring for plants and gardens or the Internet like me. So I am not spending money in traveling, hotels, restaurants, airports, cars and gasoline, like when I was younger.

There are demographic Bottlenecks and the White Americans are shrinking. That may lower demand.

Put here your favorite "Future Shock" gadget or custom that lowers demand and consumption.

There is a Recession, but that may be also a change of customs, attitudes, practices, technologies, hobbies, etc .... The intervention of the Government with all types of stimulus in Congress or with Monetary Policies of the Federal Reserve may be necessary. I am sure that Quantitative Easing III or QE3 is a good thing.
