Two opposite scenarios "The Sinking" and the "Economic Boom" of Latin America :
1) The sinking of Latin America is Venezuela where Dictator Maduro ( and Chavez in the past ) have had thugs attacking those that dissent. Some people have been killed this week while in "Cacerolazo" ( noise banging pots an pans ) by motorcycle thugs that defend the Tyranny.
2) The president of the National Assembly Diosdado Cabello is a stupid thug that has promised to kick out from this parliament all the members of the opposition and has allowed a bloodbath in the premises or precincts of that Chamber. Cabello is also very corrupt.
3) There is also big cacerolazo against chavista lady Cristina Fernandez de Kitchner, president of Argentina, because of the corruption, mismanagement and inefficiency of this Government.
4) Chavez and Maduro have corrupted Latin America with their money ( they have squandered one trillion dollars in oil revenues ). Most Latin American countries have become beggars kneeling and begging for alms from Venezuela.

The "Economic Boom" in Latin America :
The collapse of the Venezuelan Government would be well received in Wall Street. All Latin American Investments, shares and bonds would increase in value automatically.
Another Big Problem is Colombia, very much linked to Venezuela, but more prosperous and organized economically as a free market economy. Venezuelans smuggle foodstuffs to Colombia because of the Chavista Price Controls and the hard currency called Colombian peso, while the Venezuelan currency sinks every day, the "poor" Colombia has diversified exports that increase every year at fast pace. Venezuela is ruined and is a mono-exporter.

The Colombian president has shown signs of being very foolish and wants to give total impunity to the Terrorists, Murderers, Kidnappers, Sowers of Land Mines that kill and main Children. They are also bombers, not different of those that killed a child, a young woman and a man in Boston during a Marathon.
After Canada, Latin American is the most important market for U. S. Products, more important as a buyer than the European Community.
So having an economic boom in Latin America is good for American Jobs and for the poor American Citizen.
There are some countries in this subcontinent that are persuaded of Free Market Economics. They are Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Colombia. They have shown economic dynamism and more growth than the beggar nations that receive gifts from Venezuela.
