List of United States Presidential executive orders from FDR to our days, only the most Famous concerning Civil Rights. This is becoming very voluminous and extensive and I will have to work very hard to get those Orders before FDR

From Wikipedia and Other Sources :

Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945) ---- Year 1941: Executive Order 8802: Prohibited racial, religious, and ethnic discrimination in the defense industry - It also established Fair Employment Practice Committee directed to oversee compliance with the order.

Harry S. Truman (1945-1953) ---  1948 : Executive Order 9981: Prohibited racial, religious, and ethnic discrimination in the armed forces

In 1948, President Harry S Truman's Executive Order 9981 ordered the integration of the armed forces shortly after World War II, a major advance in civil rights.[6] Using the Executive Order (E.O.) meant that Truman could bypass Congress. Representatives of the Solid South, all white Democrats, would likely have stonewalled related legislation.

Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953-1961) ---  Desegregation of public schools

Executive Order 10479 signed by Eisenhower on August 13, 1953 establishing the anti-discrimination Committee on Government Contracts, which itself was based on a similar Executive Order 8802 issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941. Eisenhower's Executive Order has been amended and updated by at least six subsequent Executive Orders. It differed significantly from the requirements of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which only required organizations to document their practices once there was a preliminary finding of wrongdoing.

The Government Contract Committee was established to help insure compliance with, and successful execution of, the equal employment opportunity program of the United States Government.

Executive order 10590  - It established the President's Committee on Government Employment Policy. It aimed to eliminate discrimination in federal hiring.

Executive Order 10730 : This executive order of September 23, 1957, signed by President Dwight Eisenhower, sent Federal troops to maintain order and peace while the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, AR, took place.

John F. Kennedy (1961-1963) ----  1961: Executive Order 10925: Required government contractors to "take affirmative action" to ensure non-discriminatory employment practices. Created the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission

It established the President's Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity, which later became the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and requires equal opportunity in placement and promotion in the U.S. military.

Executive Order 11063 (1962) - It banned segregation in federally funded housing.

Lyndon B. Johnson (1963-1969) --- 1965: Executive Order 11246: Prohibited discrimination in employment decisions on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin

Some categories were added by Executive Order 13087 in 1998 and Executive Order 13152 in 2000.

Ronald Reagan (1981-1989) ---  1989: Executive Order 12667: Establishes procedure for access to Presidential Records. (Revoked by Executive Order 13233, November 1, 2001. Restored by Barack Obama on January 21, 2009.)
